You may be one of the lucky ones. Disaster may never darken your doorstep.
But, then again... It's better to be prepared; have a plan. Inventory your belongings; understand your insurance policies; and keep your insurance documents, appraisals, wills and other important papers in a safe deposit box.
L&M Construction has years' of experience helping homeowners cope with disruptive events. If disaster does strike, immediately report the incident to your insurance company and call L&M for temporary repairs to prevent further damage or vandalism. Save all your receipts. L&M will prepare a written estimate for the insurance adjuster that includes details of the materials to be used and prices on a line-by-line basis. You and your insurance company will know exactly what repairs will costóno surprises. We hope you donít need to submit an insurance claim, but if you should find yourself in need of assistance during a very stressful time, please think of us. We know how to help.

Remodeling is exciting. It's fun to make design choices. It's creative and absorbing. It's rewarding to make a dream a reality, but it's also chaotic, messy, and challenging.
Jim and Rick never let a homeowner operate under the illusion that a remodeling project is a walk in the park.
"It's a major disruption in our clients' lives," Rick said. "Strangers are going to be in their home for weeks or months at a time. That's why we take precautions to minimize our clients' stress."
Communication between the homeowner and the remodeler is critical to a smooth, less stressful experience. L&M uses a number of communication methods including email, phone, and old-fashioned face-to-face meetings. In the coming year, a new online system will enhance communication with in-progress photos, product selections and a response system.
Remodeling doesn't have to be an emotional rollercoaster. With a good contractor who is sensitive to your expectations and needs, and is adept at communicating before and during the process, remodeling can be exciting, fun and rewarding.
